Resolution for the Month of January

Wishes you a Very Happy and a Healthy New Year

Its time to say Good Bye to a very Experiential Year 2020 and welcome the New Year 2021. Every New Year begins with Celebrations, Resolutions and a lot of Hope. With all the learnings from the Year 2020, lets move ahead towards a brighter and better 2021.

Immunity, Immunity, Immunity was the most common Mantra chanted last year.

Immunity is the doctor, the healing power within each one of us. It is that power that has kept the human species going for millions of years till now. Let’s work to keep this power boosted and high….

From the beginning of this New Year, let’s resolute to take one better step every month and renew our resolution every new month.

The cold winter nights of the month of January makes us wrap ourselves cozy in bed.

Let’s begin with the First Resolution for this Month with the Quote by Benjamin Franklin “Early to bed, early to rise makes a man Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.”

So our first step towards good Health will be Sleep Healthy

In Ayurveda sleep is considered a basic instinct of life, which is essential for all living beings.

A Good Night sleep

  • Regulates the release of hormones that controls your appetite, metabolism, growth and healing.
  • Boosts brain function, concentration, focus and productivity
  • Reduces risk of Heart disease and Stroke
  • Helps with weight management
  • Maintains Immune System
  • Lowers risk of Chronic health Conditions such as Diabetes and High Blood Pressure
  • Improves Performance, Reflexes, Reaction time, and Speed.
  • Lower risk of Depression

Sleep Hygiene:

  • It is best to avoid all stimulating drinks like coffee and tea in the evening to help with sleep.
  • It is also necessary to avoid stimulating television, and mobile usage, especially an hour before bedtime. Many people watch television and fall asleep in front of it, which is neither restful nor restorative.
  • The time to go to bed should be also according to the circadian rhythm of our body. Ayurveda considers the first 1/3rd of the night (8pm-11pm) as an ideal time to go to bed and the last 1/3rd (5am-8am) as the best time to wake up and feel refreshed. Sleeping too late and waking up late does not have the ideal resting effect on our body due to various hormonal functions that follow the sun’s rhythm.

A daily routine is absolutely necessary to bring radical change in body, mind, and consciousness. Routine helps to establish balance in one’s constitution. It also regularizes a person’s biological clock, aids digestion, absorption and assimilation, balances hormones, etc…

Let’s Sleep Relaxed and Wake up to Life

Let’s ADD LIFE TO OUR LIVES…
