Hydrate Yourself
The Heat is on… Summer has set in… Hydrating yourself makes you feel so much better.

Body is made up of 60 to 70 percent water.. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%.
What does water do in our body?
- It Regulates Body Temperature – Sweating cools the body but if you don’t replenish the water the body temperature can increase.
- Water consumption lubricates joints, spinal cord and keeps tissues and skin moist and promoting collagen.
- Helps excrete waste through sweat, urine and defeacation.
- Helps in digestion. Water is a major component of saliva and in the stomach too water helps in breakdown and digesting the food and nutrient absorption be it
- It helps carry nutrients and oxygen to all the parts of the body.
- Activates metabolism and maintains weight.
- Aids in cognitive function, helps to focus and keep alert.
- It helps to improve mood.

The outward symptoms and effects of dehydration are fairly obvious, from dry skin and lack of energy to brain fog, short term memory loss and muscle cramps.
Feeling thirsty, dark yellow and strong-smelling and little pee, feeling dizzy or lightheaded, feeling tired, a drymouth, lips and eyes.. all indicates dehydration..
